My motto is to work hard, consistently every day, to pursue my goals with passion and love for what I do. I believe in maintaining a positive mindset and staying calm during challenging moments. My most valuable advice: be true to yourself and be honest and ethical in every aspect of life. This leads to lasting happiness and inner peace. Our reputation is our most valuable asset in life.
What is your favorite restaurant in Waikiki?
Hawaii is filled with amazing restaurants, making it tough to choose a favorite. It all depends on what kind of food I’m craving that day! There’s a delightful variety to explore, ensuring every meal is a delicious adventure.
What are some hobbies or interests you have outside of work?
Having a blast windsurfing and dining at cool restaurants with friends and family. The perfect mix of adventure and good company and food makes my day perfect.
Describe your ideal day in Hawaii.
On my day off, nothing beats spending quality time with my family and making the most of the day! We start with a delicious breakfast at a lovely spot, followed by a relaxing hangout at Kapiolani Park. Then it’s windsurfing time with my brother at Diamond Head Beach Park, which is always a blast. Back home, we savor a beautiful lunch together, and I catch up on emails while planning the week ahead with my wife. In the late afternoon, we head to the beach for some water fun with our little daughter, we all have a blast! To top it off, we end the day by picking a cool restaurant for a fantastic dinner. It’s a perfect day full of joy and cherished moments.

Living in Hawaii is an absolute delight. The weather is perfect all year round, and the people are so friendly. Everywhere you look, there’s the breathtaking beauty of the ocean and land. Plus, there’s an endless array of activities to enjoy. It truly is the perfect place to live, work and raise a happy family.

Working at Midway is an absolute dream! The positive and energizing atmosphere is like no other. Every morning, I’m excited to see our friendly team and dive into work, which feels more like fun than just a job. I love the Thai food at Thai Me Up in the South Maui Gardens! The food is ono and the ambiance is perfect with the string lights amongst the lush garden landscape, only a block from epic beaches!
For a special occasion, Merriman’s in Kapalua is the spot! Their food is amazing, the service impeccable, and it’s of of the most stunning places to watch the sun set over the Pacific.
What are some hobbies or interests you have outside of work?
I love ocean activities, especially snorkeling and paddling. I’m also an avid gardener, dog lover, and cook.
Describe your ideal day in Hawaii.
My ideal day in Hawaii definitely involves a hike to a waterfall (maybe even a dip under it), followed up with an Acai bowl for brunch. It also would have to include a barbecue on the beach with the family and an epic South Maui sunset.

The best parts about living in Hawaii are all the stunning views, the perfect climate, and the amazing people we share the island with. The spirit of Aloha is alive and well, and everyone you meet quickly becomes a friend.

Kate is a proud graduate of Batangas State University — The National Engineering University in the Philippines, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting Management. With five years of experience as an Internal Auditor, Kate has refined her ability to identify and evaluate various risks, such as financial, operational, and compliance risks. She has specialized in devising strategies to tackle audit discoveries, enhance internal controls, and investigate fraudulent behaviors. Ayah joined Midway Vacations in November 2021 as a Property Management Coordinator. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University, she brings exceptional skills in maintaining smooth operations for the maintenance and property management department. Ayah's impressive analytical abilities have significantly improved our financial reporting processes. Due to her outstanding performance, she was promoted to Project Manager after just one year of service. In this role, Ayah oversees all Renovations projects with meticulous attention to detail, working closely with preferred contractors to deliver exceptional service and exceed client expectations. She is a valuable asset to Midway Vacations and continues to contribute to our company's growth and success.

Nico’s Pier 38. Its not in Waikiki, but it has the best food, vibes, and live music. Highly recommend!

I like swimming and playing basketball. I also love exploring the island and trying new activities.

Going on an early morning hike with my cat, go to the beach, then the gym after. I like going to Ala Moana Beach Park to do yoga and watch the sunset. Maybe get some poke on the way!

The weather, beaches, and hikes. I could never get bored living here and I am so grateful I am lucky enough to live on this beautiful island!

Whatever happens, happens for a reason. If something wasn’t meant for you, it’s only because something better is meant to happen. It’s not good to constantly be thinking of all the negative things that are going on in life, you just have to keep moving forward.

I love seafood and the restaurant I go to in order to satisfy my craving will always be Shrimp Hale. The people are always nice and the food is always cooked just as I like it.

Spending time with friends and catching up about what’s been going on in our lives. It’s always a good time filled with laughter.

Waking up early and going to Hana with friends. Driving to all the ponds that we can get to. Being able to relax in the water while they all jump from above the waterfalls. Then ending the day up at Polis to watch the sunset with a few drinks.
