If you want to stay where the action is, Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa is the place to do it. Right on Ka’anapali Beach, this one is all about location, location, and location!

Since this is one of the oldest hotels on the island, the resort literally wraps around Black Rock, a hot spot for cliff diving and snorkeling, so you’re just steps away from some of the best underwater adventures on the island.

Here, you can watch nightly cliff diving ceremonies lit by tiki torches, and during the day, you’ll see plenty of people attempting their best cannonball into the crystal clear waters below.

I spent most of my time at the pool and highly recommend the adult-only infinity pool if you want some peace and quiet.

The Westin has six pools including the huge Kawaiola Aquatic Playground, that has a 270 foot waterslide, splash zone and a shallow area for kids.

But if you’re with family the waterslide and kid friendly pools are perfect for keeping everyone entertained.

If you are getting spa treatments don’t miss their Heavenly Spa. I got a massage here and it was amazing (the hot stone massage is a must-try)!

Even their smallest suite is 860 sq ft, and if you’re traveling with a bigger group, they have two —and three-bedroom villas to spread out in.
